Dangerous Company

Hassu, fiktiivinen novelli englanniksi. Tehtävänä oli kirjoittaa tarina, jossa esiintyvät sanat: house, neighbour, new, many ja often.

We've been living in our house in Cambridge since I was three years old. Now I'm eleven years old and I go to Junior School. Our school is quite a big school. There are over one and a half thousand pupils.
Anyway, one February morning I noticed a new girl coming to school. I walked to her and asked:
    "Are you new here?"
She just nodded timidly. I didn't have time to ask where she lived, because the bell rang.
Next Sunday morning, when I was taking the trash out, I saw her again. She was standing outside my neughbour's house.
"What are you doing here?" I asked amazed.
"I am your new neighbour", she said. "My name is Chelsey."
"Oh, sorry! I didn't know that! My name is Carrie."
Then we talked for some time, until I had to go home.
For the next two weeks I didn't hear anything about Chelsey. I saw her often at school, but she didn't seem to notice me. But soon it happened. Chelsey didn't come to school anymore.
Next Monday evening I was reading a book in our garden. Suddenly I heard a hideous, loud scream from Chelsey's house. That was enclosed by some rumble and shouting. Those sounds lasted for about two hours. I tried to look inside Chelsey's house through its windows, but I didn't see anything strange.
After a few days Chelsey finally phoned me.
"Would you like to visit me tonight?"
"Sure!" I said, although I really wasn't so sure. Would Chelsey do something dangerous? I was too interested to say no.
At 8 pm Chelsey opened the door for me. The hall looked quite normal.
"Why didn't you come to school?" I asked.
"I broke my leg two weeks ago, as you can see." Chelsey's leg was plastered. "I've spent my time watching some horror movies.
I gasped my breath. Oh, what an idiot I had been!
"Are you OK?" Chelsey asked. "Would you like to watch one with me?"
I agreed. Then she showed me how many films she had.
Since that we've been friends and we still often visit each other.
